Congratulations to Jonathan Pryor, Sayville Rotarian, and Head of Sayville Library Outreach Program on his recent New York State outstanding Library Award! Jonathan, accompanied by Donna DiBerardino, Head of Youth Services, enthusiastically gave Rotarians a recent update on Sayville’s adapting and ever learning Library to meet Community members’ expectations.
For Reference on the latest changes and updates, I have composed an amazing list to enjoy:
  • Robust free wi-fi available, no Password needed, extends out in the parking lot, which was enacted during COVID and in response to allow digital equity to the Online learning sphere. This is a great opportunity for freelancers.
  • Mobile wi-fi hotspot package, borrow the package for when you travel. It comes with free unlimited data, just reserve for your trip.
  • Digital Storefront APPS:   Hoopla is a multimedia app; you can download your movie, books, or podcast to your device(s), you can use this app when you have no wi-fi. For example, you can download ahead of time to use while on a plane.  Canopy - another app, great for NON-Fiction genres, documentaries, LIBBY- another great app for books and audio books, HUB - an app you can use to stream live. This app cannot be downloaded to your device, which means you must have active Wi-Fi to use.
