RYLA students thank the Rotary Club of Sayville for affording them the opportunity to be a part ot the Spring 2015 RYLA program.
Excerpt from a letter to the Club by one of the RYLA students:
(...)"I would like to express my gratitude for being able to attend such a wonderful program. My Entrepreneurship teacher told me about the program during class, and as soon as she described to me what the program was all about, I immediately applied. I am so thankful for being granted the chance to work with so many great and inspirational people. It was truly a special experience that taught me the fundamentals necessary to be an exceptional leader. The opportunity to work and bond with others of similar backgrounds and interests afforded me an unforgettable and influential experience. My weekend was filled with knowledgeable and inspiring speakers and activities. I was also given the opportunity to share my feelings and experiences with my peers. (...) We described our time and the key concepts about RYLA and all it does to help focused, motivated and hard working young adults such as myself become better leaders. Understanding what Rotary is was also an important lesson I learned towards the end of my weekend. What Rotary offers and accomplishes is truly remarkable, and I would like to sincerely thank Rotary for being such an altruistic and opportunity providing program. I am so grateful for the opportunity to attend the weekend with so many influential peers, staff, speakers etc. My RYLA experience has helped me become more conscientious and will indeed make me a better leader, friend and son. I commit, as RYLA inspired, to do whatever I can, when I can, to help my friends, family and society. Once again, I would like to thank everyone who made my experience at RYLA as informational, challenging, inspiring and wonderful as it was. I would also like to specifically extend my sincere gratitude to the Sayville Rotary Club for funding my experience and hope it is clear that I felt it was an experience of a lifetime. Once again, sincere apologies for not being able to attend the meeting. I hope this email truly expresses my deepest and most sincere thank you's to everyone who made my experience possible.
