It was a beautiful sunny day on November 2nd to welcome all Veterans to the annual Sayville Rotary Appreciation Luncheon at Land's End Catering. Guests were welcomed with guitar music by MK Mike Kelly Acoustic, followed by the Presentation of Colors by U.S. Army Recruiting Company. Sayville Rotarian and Town of Islip Receiver of Taxes, Andrew Wittman, sang the National Anthem. Chris Imperato, Sayville Rotary Club President and Army Veteran, SP4 1988-95 introduced the Sayville Rotary member veterans, including Honoree: Don Hester, PDG, Army Captain 1960-1965.
The luncheon included guests from all branches of the U.S military where each man and woman enjoyed fellowship and informed guests of where and when they served in the military. Our day wrapped up with generous donations to the Veterans General Needs and unwrapped toys for TOYs for TOTs.
