The spirit of service and gratitude filled the room at Land's End Catering Hall for the annual Sayville Rotary Veteran's Luncheon. The event began with solemn respect as the Army Color Guard presented their colors while attendees stood for the National Anthem.
Past Rotary President and Veteran Chris Imperato hosted the program, welcoming over 70 attendees. Sayville Rotary President Teri Fallon proudly presented Gary Verticchio, luncheon honoree, with a $500 check on behalf of the club for his support of the Naval Sea Cadet program run out of the Michael Murphy Naval Seal Museum in West Sayville, NY - a testament to Gary's commitment to nurturing young leaders and continued Service above Self.
Fellow veterans shared their military branch experiences with all attendees, including some St. Joseph University Veteran students.
