Our November meeting featured Paws of War from their Nesconset location, an organization dedicated to rescuing shelter animals and pairing them with veterans and first responders to build therapeutic, lifelong bonds. In support of their dedication to helping both heroes and animals heal together, our club presented them with a $250 donation check.
We also marked Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a strong showing of support, filling the room with pink in response to Sergeant Amy’s special appeal. Thanks to the generosity of our members and a dollar-for-dollar club match of her $400 sergeant money, we raised a grand total of $800 for Cancer Care.
